Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy explains how cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds are handled for the consulting and advisory services provided by Moto Channel. Because our work is professional services delivered through dedicated time and research, refunds are governed by the principles set out below.
Nature of consulting services
Our services consist of professional time, research, analysis, and prepared deliverables. Once work has been performed, the time and effort involved cannot be returned. For this reason, our refund treatment depends on the type of engagement and the stage of work completed, as described in this policy and in your proposal.
Initial consultations
An initial consultation is a scheduled advisory session. If you cancel or request to reschedule with reasonable advance notice, we will reschedule the session or, at our discretion, refund the consultation fee. If you do not attend a scheduled consultation without notice, the session is treated as delivered and the fee is non-refundable.
Cancellation by the Client
You may cancel an engagement by providing written notice. The financial effect of cancellation depends on the work completed at the time notice is received:
- Before work begins. If a project has been accepted but substantive work has not yet started, amounts paid may be refunded less any non-recoverable costs already incurred and any administrative or scheduling fee stated in your proposal.
- After work begins. Once work is underway, fees corresponding to work performed and to any completed or in-progress milestones are non-refundable. Any unused portion of a prepaid fee that does not correspond to performed work or committed costs may be refunded.
- After delivery. Deliverables that have been provided to you are non-refundable.
Cancellation by the Company
We may decline or discontinue an engagement, for example where required information is not provided, where the scope is outside our services, or where continuing would be inappropriate. If we cancel an engagement for reasons not caused by your breach, we will refund amounts paid for work not yet performed.
Non-refundable elements
The following are non-refundable in all cases: work already delivered; fees for completed milestones; time spent in scheduled sessions that took place; and third-party costs, data, or fees that we paid or committed on your behalf with your authorization.
Rescheduling
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate rescheduling requests where notice is given in advance. Repeated rescheduling that materially affects the project timeline may require a revised schedule and, where applicable, an adjustment to fees.
How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are issued to the original method of payment where practicable. The time required for a refund to appear depends on the payment provider. Currency-conversion differences and provider fees, where they apply, are outside the Company’s control.
Disputes and chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first so we can review and resolve it directly. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may delay resolution. We retain records of engagements and work performed to support fair handling of any dispute.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. The version with the most recent update date applies, except that the policy in force when an engagement was accepted continues to govern that engagement.
